How to download Showbox for Android?
For those of you who don’t know, Showbox is a free app where you can stream free movies and TV shows on Android devices.
Here is a quick summary, I go into each point below in much more detail.
Download the APK via the official Aptoide page (https://showbox.en.aptoide.com)
Go to Settings > Security > Turn on ‘Unknown Sources‘ (This step may vary depending on Android version or device you use but basically you will need to turn on the option that allows you to install non-market apps)
Find and install Showbox.
That’s it, no more steps.
Unfortunately Showbox is not available via the Google Play Store. Why? Nobody knows why, but Google often have strange policies regarding apps where you can stream and download. It means that finding a reliable apk file (the file the app takes) can sometimes be quite tricky.
What you now need to do is to find an “alternative app store.” There are many around online and each serve different countries depending on what you prefer. There are however some ones that cannot be trusted so my advice would be to find the apk file here on Aptoide (https://showbox.en.aptoide.com/) or use the official website (http://showboxappdownload.com) where you can download it. Getting the .apk file from anywhere else could be quite tricky and could prove problematic if you cannot verify the source. So I would recommend only these two sources.
This is a real pain the next step as Google really make it difficult but needs to be be done. You need to enable unknown sources in order to use apps that you have not downloaded directly from the Google Play Store.
First of all you go to the Androids settings page.
Secondly you go to the security settings.
Thirdly there is a slider about Unknown sources. Make sure this is switch onto on.
You can then open up Aptoide and install what you need to do.
The final step is the easiest. You automatically land on the Showbox page, from here it is a quick and simple installation and that’s it. Kick back, grab some popcorn and start streaming as much as you want. Godbless the developers of Showbox...
